As requested by a number of schools during the coronavirus outbreak, we at The Learning Partnership have developed four training sessions aimed to raise awareness of Curriculum for Wales 2022. Now with the introduction of Welsh Governments Corona Virus Act 2020, schools can shift their focus and pedagogy towards Curriculum For Wales where the principles and philosophy behind the curriculum can be developed in delivering a flexible continuous learning approach with the aims of the four purposes and integral skills at its heart.
The sessions are delivered straight to the recipients via email so that they can access them at a time that is convenient.
Each session builds upon the previous session, reinforcing key messages and providing opportunities for practitioners to reflect upon current and future practice.
The sessions are presented as a media presentation with a voice over that the user views in a controlled environment online. The user is able to pause the presentation at any point and will be invited to carry out tasks associated with the aspect of training being delivered. School leaders can specify ways in which participants record their professional learning although suggestions are made within each session.
An example of how a number of schools are using these resources
Schools currently using these online CPD training resources are giving teachers, teaching assistants a week to look at one aspect of the training (e.g session 1) in their own time with a virtual whole school meeting the following week by video conferencing and repeating this for the remaining sessions. Following this model we release the sessions to the school a week apart.
Should you wish to discuss these sessions or indeed other opportunities for remote learning, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email@example.com.
Session 1: Principles for Curriculum Design – Pedagogical Principles
Session 2: Four Purposes – Integral Skills
Session 3: Areas of Learning and Experience – Cross-curricular responsibilities
Session 4: Cross-cutting Themes – Bringing it all together!
Single user licence £100+ Vat for all four sessions. Multiple licence of 6 for £475+ Vat (Schools can buy as many multiple licences as they need)

‘In short, training was superb – a number of my team here were very quick to say that ‘that was the most sense we’ve heard about the new curriculum since its launch’. Wendy’s approach was spot on in terms of the messages and the clarity with which they were delivered.’ Geraint Jones Headteacher Coedffranc Primary School
‘The curriculum training we had from Wendy and TLP Wales fulfilled our school needs at every level. All staff had a common understanding of the curriculum ethos, rationale and documents, practitioners had quality ideas for project development and leaders had a clear starting point to drive curriculum reform for our school. I cannot recommend the training highly enough’ Carol Flanary Davies Headteacher Gelli Primary School
