Continuous Learning – A focus on designing and implementing high quality, Continuous Learning during unprecedented times.

Twilight course

We can all agree that if asked in 2015, ‘Where do you see your school in five years’ time?’, no-one would have predicted the unprecedented situation that has unfolded during 2020.

How do we ensure that effective Continuous Learning is happening in school and at home?

With the benefit of hindsight, what do you wish you had focussed upon in the early months of the last school year to ensure that Continuous Learning was secured during the pandemic?

This one day course provides a framework for Continuous Learning that supports teachers and pupils in moving forward with greater confidence during this time.

Course participants will:

  • Understand that well being is the first building block of learning for pupils and professionals.
  • Explore a model of Continuous Learning that can be implemented for all phases.
  • Explore a wide variety of teaching strategies, resources, technologies and approaches to support Continuous Learning.
  • Consider the important contribution and role of the Integral Skills (CfW 2022) for independent and interdependent learning.
  • Understand ways in which the teacher can pre-load learning through challenge and engagement in preparation for learning at a distance.
  • Secure continued interest and understanding from their pupils.

Note: ‘Continuous Learning’ is also referred to as ‘Blended Learning’, ‘Home-school Learning’, ‘Learning at a Distance’ etc. by other organisations.
