Wendy Thomas

Wendy has extensive experience as a teacher, school leader, advisor and inspector. She has worked both in the UK and overseas and prides herself on offering workable, practical solutions to schools facing challenges.

Most recently, Wendy has co-developed Building Blocks® an online planning, monitoring and assessment tool that includes more than 250 rich tasks to excite and engage children. Her belief in offering authentic learning experiences underpins this work, as does her aim to reduce bureaucracy in education. She is also the co-author of ‘Learning Places, Growing Spaces’ a book offering guidance to practitioners working with children from Birth to Three.

In her current role as a director at The Learning Partnership, Wendy has worked with primary schools and early years settings across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her goal is to offer high quality support and training that has a direct impact on children’s learning.

As a mother of two girls, Wendy strongly believes in high quality provision for all children and is committed to the principles of inquiry based learning as a means of motivating and engaging children and young people.

Wendy’s most recent addition to her family is her dog, Sydney – who is still very much in training!
