We must all have our basic needs met in order to thrive.  During this one day course practitioners will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the role of attachment, relationships and well being.

Through a mix of information giving, discussion and group activity, participants will gain new knowledge about the role of the key person as an ‘emotion coach’ when supporting children and young people in a social setting.

A thought provoking and powerful day that will change the way you think about human development and your school’s relationship policy.

Course participants will:

  • Focus upon the development of Health and Well Being of children and young people.
  • Identify the characteristics of well being and involvement in children and how to assess them.
  • Consider how relationships with other people develop based on our lived experience and the central role of attachment.
  • Explore the child’s view of rules, friendship and relationships.
  • Gain information on the importance of well being and its links to the characteristics of effective learning.
  • Explore how a process-orientated child monitoring system can be planned and

Glenda Dudley has worked in education for more than twenty years, both in the UK and in international contexts in Europe and the Middle East. During her career, Glenda has held posts as a teacher, a Headteacher and was the inaugural Head of Centre of Wales’ largest children’s centre; the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre.
