A day not to be missed!
Inquiry as an approach to teaching and learning has long been regarded as a highly effective way of not only engaging students in their learning but to challenge them to think deeply and apply skills and understandings to new contexts.
Many school leaders and teachers appreciate the synergy between Curriculum for Wales and an inquiry approach but feel less confident with how to actually use it effectively in the classroom.
During this one-day conference, Kath Murdoch will lead us through the journey of inquiry and explore why it is a very effective way to both meet the purpose-led expectations of Curriculum for Wales while engaging children in challenging and authentic learning. As you craft and develop your school’s unique curriculum, the importance of inquiry and its potential for developing learning assets cannot be ignored.
Join us for a day of thought provoking, excellent professional dialogue with a focus on how and why inquiry not only helps to develop deep understanding, but also continues to grow children’s capacity to learn.
Target Audience: Teachers and school leaders from schools implementing, or interested in, Inquiry Based Learning. Examples from the primary phase will be used during the conference, although colleagues from secondary are also welcome to attend.
